Who didn't want to be a firefighter when they were a kid?
125 years of quality, reliability and innovation. Albert Ziegler GmbH’s product range covers the entire spectrum of fire-fighting technology, from operational clothing and pump and fire-extinguishing systems to fire engines.
Over a development period of around two years, we worked with the Ziegler development team to develop an innovative, modular system for controlling vehicle components. The result: Z-Control.
Benchmark for User Interface Designs
The modular Z-Control system stands out for its very clear and user-friendly structure. The control panel allows for intuitive operation, enabling all extinguishing functions to be carried out at the touch of a button. Furthermore, Z-Control provides an overview of the operational sequences, the operating status, the water and foam concentrate flow rates, and the proportioning ratio.
Flexibility through modularity
Thanks to a modern, standardised and modular software architecture, products featuring Z-Control achieve the highest levels of quality, flexibility and future-proofing. It has never been so easy to add FuncTions (functions) at a later date as and when required. The open system architecture allows data to be transferred and analysed.

The Z-Control pump control panel combines a clear layout, ergonomic controls and large, glove-friendly buttons for safe operation. Consistent user interfaces across all Ziegler vehicles and components, along with lighting colours, animations and assistance systems, ensure intuitive guidance. Waterproof housings with freely combinable modules offer maximum flexibility, whilst mobile control units with Plug’n’Play and Multi-Connect interfaces enable innovative and ergonomic operation.
